No Matter What

I’m sorry that I dropped out of school
and not only disappointed my mom,
but myself as well.
I mean, I went to a
good high school,
and sure,
some things did happen
along the way,
but I just gave up on school
and stopped going.
My mother had, and still has,
great expectations for me.
Her dream is for me to go to college
and have a better life (economically) than she has.
Well, when I dropped out of school,
that whole dream just blew up in her face.
But now I’m trying to get to that dream
no matter what I have to do.
