Too Much TVby Diana, 6th gradeOne Monday afternoon just after school, I sat down on the comfy, spongy yellow chair in front of the television and took out all my homework supplies. I sat there for a while. Then I saw my mom cooking dinner and I thought that while my mom was cooking, I could watch television. What a bright idea! I turned on the television and began watching a scary, frightening movie. It was so entertaining, I forgot about my homework. Wow! What a movie! A while later, my mom was done cooking. I quickly paused the movie, turned off the T.V. and pretended to do my homework. I ate the food my mom prepared and continued pretending to do my homework. My mom cleaned the table and went to her room. I peeked inside the room and she was watching TV. I thought I should finish watching my movie, so I did for half an hour. I forgot about my mom when she popped out of her room. Oh! Oh! Busted! She yelled in Spanish for seven minutes. She took the movie, turned off the TV, and she grounded me for a week! I stayed up until 10:00 to finish my homework. I learned not to watch T.V. instead of doing homework, because 1) you stay up late, 2) you get grounded, and 3) you get yelled at for an hour. .
