Thanksgiving Horror

by Jack

It was the night before Thanksgiving and the city was quiet except for one house. This was a very small city and this house was really loud. Everyone could hear this house filled with at least 20 people. This was the house of the McDaniel’s, who had all the relatives from all over the country to stay for Thanksgiving. Everyone was shouting and talking and having a great time. They were all preparing for tomorrow, but little did they know that tomorrow will be a night of despair.
Thanksgiving had come. The family was so energized. They couldn’t wait to eat the juicy, plump turkey, the delectable mash potatoes, and thick creamy pumpkin pie. They just put the turkey in the oven. They were going to leave to do some Thanksgiving activities. Once they left there was a creaking sound coming from the oven.
It was about 2:00 when they got back. Mr. and Mrs. McDaniel’s niece Jessica was almost crying she had to go to the bathroom so bad. She dashed to the bathroom then broke a sigh of relief. Mrs. McDaniel went into the kitchen to get the turkey. When she spotted the oven she gasped. There was no Turkey. She was confused and bewildered. She couldn’t think of anything that could possibly have happened to the turkey.
Then there was a shriek. Jessica’s dad Phil recognized that scream anywhere. It was Jessica and it was coming from the bathroom. Phil rushed to the bathroom. The door was wide open. Jessica’s face was pale and her eyes were completely white. She looked freaky. Right when Phil was calling for the rest of the family something from the shadows jumped right at him. His face was then pale like Jessica’s and his eyes were like Jessica’s too.
The McDaniels called the police. When they got there they couldn’t find out who it was. All they found out is that there was an open window in the bathroom. They sat there in one room hoping that nothing would get them until about 5 o’clock when they left to get a new turkey. But right when they got to the hall way a deep voice shouted “Halt!” Everyone jumped back. They were so alarmed.
The figure was hard to see. It had a cape on and it was very short. That’s all they could figure out due to the darkness. Then it stepped forward. Everyone gasped. It was a mix of a turkey and a vampire. (A.K.A. turkpire)
It hissed at us. They all stepped back. They were all stunned and timid at the same time. The turkpire jumped forward. Then everyone dashed into the kitchen to find some garlic. Sadly, they couldn’t find any, but they did find a necklace with a cross on it. Mr. McDaniel forced the turkpire into the basement. Then they looked in Yellow book and surprisingly they found some to execute the turkpire. It was the E.A.T. team. (Extreme appetite team) Mrs. McDaniel dialed the number and told her that they would be right over.
Seconds later, they saw the two fat Hobos that lived by their garbage can squeezing through the door. They were surprised that they even had a phone. Mr. McDaniel sent them in the basement to go eat the turkpire. They hurried down. They loved turkey. But no one told them that it was a turkpire.
After several minutes of waiting the house rumbled. Everyone got real quiet. They all knew that the obese hobos had fallen. Mr. McDaniel went downstairs with his cross and a flashlight. He tried to lift one of the hobos up. He could definitely not do it, but he did see a turkey leg sticking out from under one of the hobos bellies. He then started to cheer. He told everyone about how one of the hobos fell on the turkpire and killed it. Everyone was really joyful and everyone remaining enjoyed the rest of Thanksgiving, until they saw the green eyes on the pumpkin pie.
