Skatboarding Around the WorldOnce there was a boy named Julio. He traveled to many places with his mom looking for skating board parks. He started his summer at the Chicago skateboarding parks. A couple of weeks later, his family went to Europe. First they were in Venice, Italy. Venice had lots of water and churches, but no parks. In Madrid, Spain there were some cool and big parks, but no ramps. He was very excited about Barcelona because he saw lots of streets that had slopes like the ramps; so he got to practice his moves. Julio went skateboarding every day after he did some reading, math, and science review. He was comparing parks. He liked to try to new tricks to see how different they felt depending on the types of floor he skated on. He had to wear comfortable clothes, special sole shoes, and safety gear. He made friends and had the chance to compare information about different types of boards, ramps, and tricks. He was sad to leave Spain, but he was excited about coming back to Chicago and its skateboarding parks to practice in the half-pipes. After a couple of weeks of traveling, Julio finished his skateboarding adventure and was ready to go back to school. At the end of the summer, he prepared for school and shared his photos with his friends. Julio will never forget his skateboarding adventure. .
