My Best Ticket

by Victoria, 4th grade

My most valuable object is a concert ticket. One day I was in the car driving to dance class and suddenly I heard a ring on my mother’s cell phone. I asked my mother if I could answer it and she said, “Yes.” So I took the phone out of the console box. It was my older sister Dagmara. She told me that her boyfriend got tickets to a sold out Jonas Brothers concert. I was so happy because I’m going to add it to my ticket collection.
Once I got home from dance class I ran to my sister and said, “Thank you, thank you!”
“Take good care of it because I don’t have extras,” said my sister as she handed me the ticket.
I craned my head to see the ticket a little better. The ticket was bright yellow with the title of “Jonas Brothers: A Little Bit Longer.” I bragged about it to my parents and brother. They got a little fury with me but I apologized.
“I can’t wait till the concert!”
The day had finally came and I ran to my room, picked up my mattress and took out the ticket. Once my sister’s boyfriend came we got into the car and drove a super long distance. After one hour we finally got there. We had to wait in line before they opened the gates, but the line went fast. After the concert we went home. I ate and I started to add my ticket to my scrapbook. I looked and looked and said to myself that was the best experience I ever had with just one object.
