A Visit to the London Eye
by Dami, 3rd grade
It was a vivid and sunny day in late August. “Yeah! I can’t believe we are actually going to the London Eye! Thank you, thank you so much!” I shouted. My Uncle Ola decided we should go to the London Eye, the largest Ferris wheel in the world. It was built in 2002. You can see the whole of London, an excellent view.
My Aunty Dayo, Uncle Ola, my friend Bimbo and I got in Uncle Ola’s small grey car. “This is the time of my life! Everyone had asked if I had gone to the London Eye and now I have!”
We had a few snacks and went in line for the ride. It was extremely long. I started dancing. “Uncle, you are the best! Yeah!” I screamed. I was very excited because I wanted to see the whole of London.
Then I remembered I was afraid of heights.
“Ummm, this is bad. Bim, pinch me. Can you believe this? Pinch me! I’m dreaming, OW!” I yelled.
“Bim explained, “You said pinch me. Are you running a fever?” she laughed.
Aunty Dayo exclaimed, “Bim, it was just a figure of speech.”
“Yeah, Bim. Are you running a fever?” I responded.
Bim growled, “Rrrr, you, uggghh.”
They shoved me in. I yelled, “No, you cannot! How rude!” It was hot, very hot. I found out people were in front of the air vent. Soon they moved. I stood up and started moving. Happily, the ride had ended.
