Stranded on an Islandby Chaz, 4th gradeOnce upon a time there were 3 sisters on a ship with their parents. One day the ship hit a very large rock. Then the shop split right down the middle. The 3 daughters were on one side and the parents along with the captain and crew were on the other side. The eldest sister, Cara, then took charge, still in panic, while screaming, “MOM, DAD! ARE YOU STILL THERE? Chloe, Cameron, are you there? Where are you?” Then she went around the side of the ship, and that’s when she saw them. She grabbed them and hugged them while asking if they were ok. Then Chloe started to cry saying, “Where’s mommy and daddy?” She got to her feet and started to call out to her parents. “Mommy, Daddy, come get me please!” “Don’t cry, sweetie, we’re here, but the ship will soon sink. Get in the life boat with your sisters!” Then Cara ran back to get some clothes and food. She had a bag already packed in case of an emergency. She grabbed the bag and ran out to get her sisters. They ran around the ship looking for the lifeboat. They found the boat and pushed it into the water. She let her little sisters jump in first and then she jumped in. Then she took out the paddle and began to row. Soon they reached a little island. She put her sisters on the sand then she stepped out, forgetting to pull the lifeboat onto the shore. The lifeboat got swept away by the current. The three girls started screaming and saying, “OH NO THE BOAT’S FLOATING AWAY!” Then the two younger sisters said, We’re hungry, Cara. Cara said, “First, we need to check this island out so that we know we will be safe.” The girls walked around for hours and that was when Cara finally decided that the island was safe. The girls sat down and Cara gave each of them a banana. Both of the girls said, “Cara, can we have another banana?” “Sorry, girls, no more bananas. We don_t know how long we_ll be on this island.” The girls became so tired that they all fell to sleep on the blanket underneath them. When they woke up the following morning they were excited to go and play. Cara said that they would have to wait on her because she had to give them a bath. Right when they were about to go and take a bath, they felt a heavy wind starting to pick up. They looked up above their heads and saw that there was a helicopter landing. The 3 girls waved and climbed into the helicopter. They never went on a ship after that again. Since their parents had drowned they went to live with their grandparents. |
