Caitlyn, 2nd grade
One day as I woke up the birds were tweeting and it was chilly, but I didn’t care. And there were so many leaves on the ground. I felt it was going to be a good day. But my sister was still sleeping and I didn’t want to wake her up so I tip toed downstairs. It went tip, toe, tip, toe, tip, toe all the way downstairs. Then I went and I got out some bread and I made myself toast.
Finally, I said,” You’re up, Kirsten! You’ve been sleeping for a long time. It looks like a good day to build a leaf pile.”
And so we finished our breakfast and went outside. I got out the rake from the shed and we raked from yellow to red and brown to orange. We kept working and jumped in it! It was so fun. That night we brushed our teeth and we went to bed. We had sweet dreams all night long. And all slept, even the birds.
