I Like Winter

I like winter because you can do many things together with your family. When we go sledding, we race each other down the hills. My dad usually wins. Even though I lose, I still like going down the hills.
I like covering myself with three blankets at night. In the morning, we might go outside and maybe make a snowman. Then we go back inside and we all drink hot chocolate. I also like sliding on the ice.
At school, we have a Holiday Assembly. My class sang, “Hardrock, Coco and Joe.” It was fun. I like to sing with my class.
Then it comes to my favorite part of winter, which is Christmas. My family is all together then. We sing and then we turn off the lights. We count to ten, and we all hug each other and say, “Merry Christmas!”
What I have learned is that winter is the best time of year.
