My First Pet

I told my mom that I wanted a pet, and she said I could have one. One day, my mom came home and said, “I have a surprise for you!” I saw that she had a small box. Inside, I saw a little bird. He was blue and very cute.
I bought my bird a cage and some food, but he was sad. I told my mom, and she thought that he was lonely. She said, “Let’s go buy another bird.” I went to the pet shop with her. I picked a yellow bird that was cute too.
Now the two birds are very happy. I learned that it is always good to have a friend.
