I'm So Artisticby Ridda, 6th gradeThere are times in your life when you do something bad without thinking of the consequences. Later, when you get caught, you wish you hadn’t done it. One day in Pakistan when I was almost six, I decided I wanted to become a face painter. The walls of my house were being painted. The painters had left for the day. But they had left the paint in one of the rooms. And as I looked at it excitedly, I saw that the lids were off. I also had other paints and paintbrushes in my room. All I needed now was a face to paint. I walked around the house looking for my little cousin. As I walked into my room, I saw my sister sleeping. I began to get an idea. I decided to paint my sister instead of my cousin. My mother was next door at the neighbor’s house so I figured I had nothing to worry about. I began painting. First, I painted my sister’s face a shocking, and I mean shocking, pink. I painted her eyebrows, eyelashes and hair yellow, like the sun that was shining in the sky. I painted black polka dots all over her face. Then BOOM! In came my mom. First, she looked at the paintbrush in my hand. Her eyes began to narrow. Then she looked at my sister’s face. My mother’s face turned red, her fists clenched, and her mouth opened. Then she started yelling! She yelled at me for about 30 minutes. The paint on my sister’s face didn’t come off for one week. I was sorry I had done it after all the trouble I got into. I learned a lesson from this. I learned that you do not paint on your sister’s face. You are going to get yelled at and laughed at if you do!
